*There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive in conjunction with 'Emma's Touch', a non-profit local foundation, on Saturday, March 13th from 12pm-6pm at the Princeton Church of God.  Please help!

*Bluefield College is now accepting submissions for the 2010 edition of its literary magazine, The Bluestone Review. Works may include poetry, prose (fiction or non-fiction), artwork, photography, and song lyrics and must be submitted by March 13. To submit works or for additional criteria, call 276-326-4270.

*The next meeting of the Myasthenia Gravis Support Group will be Saturday, March 13th at 1pm in the Parkview Atrium at Princeton Community Hospital. For more information call 304-952-7957.

*Every Saturday, 10am-1pm through March 13th, Tazewell Little League baseball, t-ball and softball signups will take place at the Town of Tazewell Fire Department located at the west end of Main Street.

*The pre-entrance test for the McDowell County Career and Technology Center Practical Nursing Program will be given on Tuesday, March 16th at 9am.  The cost of the exam is $25.00.  Seating for the exam is limited to the first 20 applicants.  Please call 304-436-6180 for more information.

April 2010:

*Bluefield College is hosting a five-night Spring Coffeehouse Series, featuring celebrated contemporary Christian music and Starbucks brewed coffee in the Quick Shott Café on campus.  The next concert will feature: Danyew on Thursday, April 1st at 7pm, Harman Chapel.  The Coffeehouse Series will include free Starbucks Coffee for guests with a paid ticket stub. *Craft Memorial Library is getting crafty with duct tape.  Join us Friday, April 2nd from 3:30p-4:30p as we put this wonder tape to work!  This is for everyone ages 9 through adult.  Space is limited, registration is required.  Please call 403-325-3943 to register or for more information.

*Strong Tower Christian Center (former Raven Assembly of God) will be having a Huge Easter Egg Hunt would like all to attend everything is FREE!!  We have over 6000 Eggs and Every Egg has something,including Cash up to 100 dollars, candy, and other great Prizes. The Easter Egg Hunt will be April 3rd at 12pm.

*The Pyott-Boone Electronics ACS Relay for Life team will be holding its 2010 Miss Daffodil Pageant on April 10, 2010 at the Tazewell Middle School. The entry fee is $30 with two categories for Boys 0-2 or 3-6 years old, nine categories for Girls ranging from birth to 18 and a Senior Ms category for 50+! This is a Natural Beauty contest and gowns will not be judged. Optional categories for all ages include Most Photogenic which requires a picture to be brought to the pageant practice and the Peoples Choice Award given to the contestant that raises the most donations to the American Cancer Society.  All proceeds benefit the Tazewell County ACS Relay for Life's fight against cancer. *Celebrate Shakespeare with Bluefield College Tour of London.  Bluefield College will sponsor an international tour of Greater London, England, April 18-25, 2010, open to the public and part of the Shakespeare Birthday Festival.  Applications from the public are now being accepted. *8th Annual Blessing of the Bikes, Sunday May 2nd at Burke's Garden, Va
Community Center. All Bikes are welcome and the event is rain or shine. Food will be ready at 1pm with the blessing at 2pm.  Live music by Travis Roberts, everyone welcome.
