*Open Heart Ministries of Bluefield, WV will serve large, zesty taco salads as a fundraiser Thursday, May 26th, from 11am-3:30pm at its West Virginian Manor location, 415 Federal Street, downtown Bluefield, WV.  Proceeds are dedicated to Open Heart Ministries’ homeless havens. The taco salads are accompanied by a dessert and a soda. An $8 donation is requested. Orders can be made at 304-323-2551. Local delivery is available.

*Maple View Church of Christ presents Community Worship Night on Wednesday, June 1st at the Bluefield Rec Center on Stadium Drive beginning at 6pm featuring Calvary's Call, MP3 @ Maple View and Church of the Nazarene...Free admission...an offering will be taken and donated to Bible in the Schools and the Wade Center.

*American National University will be hosting a Community Yard Sale on June 24th & 25th from 7:30am-1pm.  We are located at 421 Hilltop Drive, Princeton, WV.  We have a huge parking lot just waiting to be filled! *Bluefield College will host a summer art show, titled "Realism in Appalachia, now through August 26th, featuring the works of portrait artist Eric Beavers, first floor of Lansdell Hall from 8am-6pm weekdays. Open and free to the public. For more information, call 276-326-4558.

*The 13th Annual Culturefest World Music & Arts Festival is September 8th-11th at the Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem, WV. Come enjoy a weekend long immersion in the creative arts featuring 4 stages of music and dance performances, workshops, artisan vendors, healing arts, kids activities including a costume parade, camping and much more on a beautiful mountaintop in Southern West Virginia. *The Mercer County Animal Shelter, in conjunction with the Mercer County Commission and the Mercer County Humane Society, are beginning efforts to renovate the shelter to incorporate a spay/neuter clinic.  The goal will be accomplished with fundraising events, grants, corporate and private donations.  The Mercer County Spay/Neuter Clinic will provide low cost spay/neuter for the residents of Mercer County upon completion.  An immediate goal of $10,000 will be matched by the Mercer County Humane Society to help make the dream a reality.  Contact us to find out how you can help contribute by assisting with fundraisers!  Donations can be made at the shelter or online at https://www.gofundme.com/krqrcf9g
